Sometimes Songs Are Like Lost Children
I enjoyed all 31 minutes of this, and washing dishes while listening would only have spoiled it. Maybe I'll emulate Steve and come back with my own list. And hurry up already on those Memphis proceedings, Mr. Engineer. Can't wait.
Hey Mick, Not that you asked, and not that these would be the best songs for this format, but here are my favorites from each album:
SF - Hick Bars
Ripe - All I Can Take, or Bigger Empty Things
Three Nights - Armadillo Boy
Here I Am - People Start Sentences or Tell Your Old Friends
Captains - 1954 or Knew Me on Sunday or Meal Parade
Ichor - Shit that Weighs You Down (one of my all time SF favorites)
Saratoga - Oh Diane or Everywhere She Goes...
Pack Up - WHISKEY SONG (a classic of yours!!!)
James Cotton Maters - Little Ivan
Wrong Together - Millions of People
Enemy Mine - A Song is Always on My Mind.
BUT - by sticking to long player releases you disqualified two of my SF favorites -
Oh Dana, yeah, I know it's not an original but you guys do it BETTER than the original; and
Time to Sell (another SF CLASSIC as far as I'm concerned).
Much continued success to you and the other "Failures."
